I second that.

Just two points:
- I do use a lot of those links in the left sidebar and the website has a lot of hidden features.

- While you don’t have a public API, you can always integrate using their plain text files available by FTP (http://www.imdb.com/interfaces#plain). They only update them weekly and there’s some work needed if you want to optimize your process using the diffs.
And after that, you have some limitations about how and where you can use that data. This is probably why they might not go with a public API, they’re a bit over zealous about their own data.

I do believe that all those things will come in the next version.

Right now I thing that it’s a battery issue. If they manage to “improve” battery they’ll get to those services.

For me, personally, it’s not something I use (mms, pictures or video on mobile) and I do have two picture capable mobiles. But with the advent of youtube (and now vimeo) and flickr (and specially with tarpipe.com workflow integration) it may make sense for a lot of people.

Right now my main worry is the call price in Portugal and the fact that I have to pay more than I’m currently paying

Well, it has been written already but, MMS? Video Recording? Video Call? Believe it or not, those are things that many people already use, specially the MMS’s…
And, a 2 MP camera??? C’mon Apple. Does that means that in some months we’ll have iPhone 3,5G with a 3 MP camera or what?

Nice writing style indeed.
As I understood a-GPS needs some server-side assistance and, thus, can get a quicker position fix than regular GPS. The “A” stands for “A”ssisted I think. There’s a very nice post by Eric Carr, product manager at Loopt, that describes all known positioning technologies. Here: http://loopt.typepad.com/loopt/2008/06/our-very-own–1.html. However, I’m not sure that a-gps is yet available in Europe (cuz of the server-side thing)…

I am still ceptic regarding the current GPS companies like TomTom adopting the IPhone … But besides that i think that this new release will make the european consumer thing of it as a new option besides HTC and other smarphones.

Yeah, Steve says he’s been listening, but audio/video recording a MMS is nowhere to be found. Sure MMS is overrated, but hey I still USE it sometimes, and it’s not like it’s that hard to implement… I just don’t get it.
